Do you clean your fruits and veggies before consuming them?
Washing your fruits and vegetables can help to remove bacteria (even E.coli!), waxes, pesticides, and residue from your food. Be sure to wash your hands before you begin cleaning your produce, so there aren’t any germs from your hands transferring to your food.
You can pick up a produce wash from most grocery stores, so if you don’t already do this regularly, add it to your shopping list. If you’d like to make a DIY version of a produce wash, you can do so very easily. All you need is white vinegar, water, and lemon juice to create your own wash at home.
